Real-Time Production Reports: Watch Your Steel Being Built

You should not have to call the factory to know where your project stands. In BOM Studio, every member is tracked stage by stage, and progress is updated the moment a step is confirmed on the shop floor. You see the same figures our production managers see: by steel weight, on the 3D model, with photographs.

The online report opens from a secure link. It shows the period, overall progress, progress by stage, the 3D model, photographs by stage and a status table for every member. A PDF version with a QR code opens the same period online.

  • Status at the end of the period and work completed in it

How "real time" works on the shop floor

How It Works

How "real time" works on the shop floor

Every member carries a production label with its own QR code. When a team finishes a step, the team leader scans the label, confirms the step and the workers who did it. BOM Studio selects the next step automatically and blocks the scan if an earlier step is not finished or is waiting for QC.

The update is visible immediately: in the progress table, on the 3D model, on the factory dashboard and in your report link. Photographs taken in the factory are sorted automatically by stage and by reporting period, using the date they were taken.

Rules that keep the figures honest

  • Progress is counted by steel weight, so a heavy column counts more than a cleat
  • Work shared by several workers is counted once for the project
  • Records are never overwritten: corrections keep the old and new value, who made them and why
  • Finished is not the same as passed: steps with an inspection wait for QC

Weekly or monthly report

Online and PDF, with the 3D model, progress by stage, work completed in the period, photographs and the status of every member.

Factory photographs

Uploaded from the shop floor and sorted by stage and date, so you see the work behind the numbers.

Production labels

Every member has its own label (Item n of N). Scanning it shows its progress, and later its package, container and destination.

FAQ

Production reports: questions

Straight answers on scope, design codes, shipping and what happens in Guyana.

Ask an engineer
How often is the progress updated?

Continuously. Progress changes as soon as a step is confirmed by scanning on the shop floor, and the report link always shows the latest status when you open it.

Do I need an account to read the reports?

No. Production reports open from a signed link that shows only your project and the selected period. Your team can also be given accounts if you prefer.

Can I see photographs of my steel?

Yes. Factory photographs are added to your project and appear in the reports, sorted by stage and date.

Can progress be overstated?

Progress is measured by weight and confirmed by scanning each member. Steps with an inspection only count as passed after a QC inspector records the result, and every correction is logged with a reason.

Can I combine this with a factory visit?

Yes. You can also book a live online audit of our factory to see your project on the shop floor.
