About the region
Pomeroon-Supenaam stretches along the Atlantic coast west of the Essequibo River mouth. Towns include Anna Regina, Charity and Supenaam, linked by the Essequibo Coast public road.
Agriculture dominates, with rice cultivation and milling, coconut and other crops along the coast and the Pomeroon River. The government has named an industrial estate at Onderneeming. Pending verification Onderneeming estate status
Rice storage, mills, packhouses and equipment sheds are typical steel building needs here, along with community and commercial buildings in the coastal towns.
