Ask an engineerWill World Steel compete with me for the construction work?
No. World Steel manufactures and exports steel structures. We have no construction crew in Guyana and do not bid for erection, foundations or building works there. Those stay with you.
Is there a fee to become a partner?
No. Applying costs nothing and creates no obligation. Partnership terms are agreed in writing, either project by project or in a framework agreement.
Can you help me prepare a tender?
Yes. Send us the tender drawings or the owner's requirements. Our engineers and estimators can propose structural options, quantities and a factory-direct quotation for the steel package.
Who will my client deal with?
That is your choice. On a supply-partner project you remain the owner's contractor and World Steel works through you. Where the owner wants to see the factory or the quality records, we support you with an online audit and full documentation.
What does my crew receive to erect the building?
Erection drawings, bolt lists, member marks that match the drawings, packing lists per container and remote technical support from our engineers during erection.
Which standards do you design and fabricate to?
Projects are designed to recognised international codes such as AISC 360, ASCE 7, MBMA and AWS D1.1, as agreed with the engineer of record. World Steel holds IAS AC472 accreditation (MB-268) and certificates including ISO 9001, EN 1090-1 and AS/NZS 5131.
How large a project can you supply?
Our factory has a production capacity of 2,500 tonnes per month, enough for large warehouses, industrial plants and multi-building projects. Delivery dates are set per project in the quotation.
Do you need to be a large contractor to partner with World Steel?
No. We work with contractors of different sizes. What matters is that you are licensed to carry out the work in Guyana and want a reliable steel supplier for the long term.
